A Tibetan Mastiff is believed to have become the most expensive dog in the world…
The huge, slobbery dog with substantial amounts of hair used to be most widely known for herding sheep in Tibet, but has now turn out to be a luxury for the ultra-rich who want to spread their wealth over and above stocks and property.
Zhang Gengyun, chinese breeder, said he sold the one-year-old twin male dogs to a sole buyer at a luxury dog fair on Tuesday in wealthy Zhejiang province. The sales were announced by the local Qianjiang Evening News.
One of the twins, a golden-haired Tibetan mastiff, was sold for 12m yuan (1.9m dollars) becoming the world’s most expensive dog. His red-haired brother was sold for 6m yuan (800,000 dollars).
